WB: [I] love her. She’s fantastic. She’s a really great person, a really fun actress to work with, and she has a great sense of humor. She takes her work seriously. This is kind of a cliché thing to say, but I don’t have anything even close to negative to say about her. She actually just booked Anchorman 2, playing Will Ferrell’s boss, so that should be good. She really deserves it. Hopefully, we can do [another season], and she’s a big reason why.

Can I say how amused I am that Julian forgot everything and everyone as soon as he spotted Joanna across the room. Look at the eyes she’s giving him, UNF. That’s the, “Yeah I’m getting some tonight” look.
A reporter asked Julian about his drug Lyritrol and ole boy didn’t even respond. He zoned in on Joanna and he was gone. LMAO.
The way he just sees Joanna and goes straight to her. The look on his face and her little smile. Then she looks down and has a dirty thoughts look. She knows she drives him crazy. Love it!

I liked him a lot on the OC, but this is way better, and he has a chance to show his acting chops a lot better. To think he and Victor Garber are getting awards left and right because both were in Argo is just amazing in terms of giving quality to the cast of this show. And all the rest of the actors are SO good, too. Also, I now love Edward and his flawed ways. They managed to make me feel HORRIBLE for him last episode. Now he may kill a puppy next and I’ll be back to finding him creepy, but it’s undeniable Tate Donovan plays the layers of the character greatly. AND he looks fine while doing so!
ugh i love them. My love for Eddie is similar to my love for Thomas from Downton Abbey, both flawed but lovable characters <3

Jolian Scene 2 from episode 1x09:
Joanna goes to Julian’s crib under the guise of trying to find something she claims to have left at his place. In reality she wants to talk to him about Audrey. Most importantly her suspicions regarding her part in the whole Lyritrol debacle.
Julian: What are you looking for, a red notebook?
Joanna: Yeah it has blue trimming, I thought I might have left it here.
Julian makes a half assed attempt at looking.
Joanna: Thanks for helping me look.
Julian: I haven’t see it. But I’ll keep an eye out though.
Joanna: Okay. Well……………….
She fiddles with her hands nervously. Julian knows she has something on her mind.
Julian: What? I know that look. You’re either going to kick my ass or call me a murderer.
Joanna: No. I just wanted to ask how well you really knew Audrey?
Julian: My dad got her, her first job. She’s incredibly talented.
Joanna: I get a bad vibe from her.
Julian: Cause she works for the competition?
Joanna: Maybe.
Julian: Its not like she gonna steal the recipe for Lyritrol.
Joanna laughs uncomfortably. Julian knows she has more on her mind than her suspicions.
Julian: What’s this about? Is there really a red notebook Joanna?
Phone rings interrupting the scene. Then the object of their chat comes in.
Audrey: Hey babe. Good morning Joanna.
Joanna: Morning.
Julian: I have to take this call, its my move along with your life call.
He leaves the room, leaving tension in his wake, unbeknownst to him.
Audrey: Are you staying for breakfast? I’m not sure I got food for all of us.
Joanna: Actually I have to get to work.
Audrey: Hey, um I don’t like losing either. But you dropped the ball with Julian and I picked it up. So play fair.
Joanna: Julian and I are just friends.
Audrey: Yeah look at you, all tortured standing in your friends apt sabotaging his new relationship.
Joanna: Speaking of friends, I thought I would see you at Ben Preswick’s funeral? But you weren’t there.
Audrey: Who is Ben Preswick?
Joanna smile is patronizing and Audrey realizes that her connection to the Lyritrol debacle has been made.
Joanna: Enjoy your breakfast.
Joanna walks away, leaving a bitch faced Audrey in her wake.

Joanna don’t you realize that Julian can read you like a book? You came over looking for a notebook that you think you left, when in reality you wanted to talk to him about his current squeeze. I LOVED Julian’s teasing her here, wondering what the hell she was on about.
Then Audrey came in and CAT FIGHT. Audrey let Joanna know that she has had her chance with Julian, its time to back off and let her be his #1. Joanna again repeats the tired mantra that they’re just friends. Audrey isn’t as dumb as she looks, even she didn’t buy that malarky.
You wear jealousy very well Joanna, keep it up.
poor Audrey doesn’t know how it works. Joanna tells Julian to jump, and he asks “how high??”
Joanna has that man eating out of the palm of her hand.
at least Audrey knows her place now.
The first of many great Jolian scenes from episode 1x9:
Joanna is jumpy as hell. After her encounter with the Russian(whom she killed), an encounter with Rayburn and finally a meeting with Robert Bowers where he grilled her incessantly about her job history and marriage, she is justifiably on edge when she encounters Julian in the street.
Julian: Joanna
Joanna: Ahhh, you scared me.
Julian: Sorry about that.
Joanna: Its okay. I’ve been on edge since the accident. How are you?
Julian: I’m taking some off from Bowers. Told the team goodbye, grabbed my stapler, figure out how to move forward.
Joanna: Forwards good. You never know what might pop up.
Joanna looks over and sees Audrey sporting her best bitch please expression.
Audrey? How’s that going for you?
Julian: I like her, I think. She’s easy.
Joanna looks at him amused.
Julian: Not easy, like that.
Joanna: I know what you meant. Its just um, is it really real?
Julian: Maybe.
For the first time Joanna contemplates the fact that she might lose him to someone else.
Julian: See you later.
Julian walks away to join his psycho ‘girlfriend.’

Well played Wes and Meagan. You can see it on her face, for the first time ever Joanna seems to realize that she can lose him to another woman. After Joanna bludgeoned(his words, not mine) him with rejection, he has essentially given up and has opened up himself possibly being able to care about someone else.
a man’s face shouldn’t be that perfect!!
